The boundary between mass-market cosmetics and prestige skincare is becoming increasingly attractive to beauty groups. E.l.f. Beauty has raised its annual sales-growth outlook as demand for its products and its Rhode skincare business strengthens.

The company reported quarterly sales of $520.8 million, an increase of 51%, and now anticipates annual growth of 22% to 24%. It has also identified overseas markets as an opportunity for further expansion of Rhode.

Prestige skincare typically depends on distinctive branding, customer loyalty and a carefully managed distribution strategy. International expansion could broaden revenue, but it also demands investment in marketing, retail partnerships and consistent product availability.

For the luxury and beauty market, the result highlights the increasing influence of brands that build audiences through digital communities before entering wider retail channels. The test will be whether strong initial demand develops into repeat purchases and sustained profitability as the business grows beyond its early markets.
